With a quorum of the Councilmembers present, the special called session of the Allen City Council was called to order by Mayor Farmer at 7:08 p.m. on Tuesday, August 17, 1993, in the Council Chambers of the Allen Municipal Annex, One Butter Circle, Allen, Texas. Public Hearing on the Budget m Required by Section 4.04 of the Allen City Charter (Agenda Item II) City Manager Jon McCarty distributed updated budget documents which reflected decisions by the Council as a result of the recent Budget Retreat. Mr. McCarty reviewed the 740 in structure and stated this is a flexible figure due to further salary comparisons among neighboring cities. The budget changes and fund balance statements were distributed and reviewed by the City Manager. It was noted that the additional monies alloted for the Library were to include additional utility costs. Mayor Farmer read the request into the record as follows: 'Public Hearing on the Budget as Required by Section 4.04 of the Allen City Charter. Mayor Farmer opened the public hearing and asked for anyone speaking either for or against the Budget to do so at this time. Adjourn (Agenda Item xIn MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Christakos and seconded by Councilmember Nichols, the Council voted six (6) for and none (0) opposed to adjourn the special called session of the Allen City Council at 7:22 p.m., on Tuesday, August 17, 1993.
