Call to Order and Announce a Quorum is Present
With a quorum of the Parks and Recreation Board present, Vice -Chair Holley
called the meeting to order at 7:15 p.m. on Monday, May 14, 2018 in the
Multipurpose Room of the Allen Senior Recreation Center at 451 St. Mary Drive,
Allen, Texas.
1) Receive Public Input Concerning Trail Master Plan
Tim Dentler, Director of the Parks and Recreation Department, welcomed attendees
and gave background on the need for a Trail Master Plan. He then introduced Matt
McComb, Landscape Architect, who gave further details about the development
process of the plan and introduced Halff Associates, the consultant firm preparing the
plan. Jonathan West of Halff Associates shared through a PowerPoint presentation the
steps that are included in developing the plan and also opportunities and constraints
' specific to the Allen trail system. The Board then opened the floor to receive input
from trail users. Consultants and staff were on hand to answer questions.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:27 p.m, and those in attendance were encouraged to
review maps, complete surveys and provide feedback to staff and/or the consultants
present.
