Call to Order and Announce a Quorum is Present (Agenda Item I)
With a quorum of the members present, the joint workshop session of the Allen City Council and the
Planning and Zoning Commission was called to order by Chairman Garcia for Planning and Zoning and by
Mayor Farmer for the Allen City Council at 7 03 p in on Monday, January 31, 1994, in the Council Chambers
of the Allen Municipal Annex, One Butler Circle, Allen, Texas.
Workshop on Subdivision Ordinance (Agenda Item 11)
Mayor Farmer indicated that the purpose of the meeting tonight would be to secure clarification on major
substantive issues in the material that the Council has received. It is anticipated that Staff and Planning and
Zoning will receive further assignments and direction from Council after tonight's meeting.
Information compiled by Hunter and Associates was distributed regarding thoroughfare design standards.
Council submitted items needing clarification at which time Commission and Council began discussions
at the beginning of the document
Staff and Planning and Zoning Commission were instructed to review each of the sections that were
discussed this evening and to present Council with a revised ordinance for future consideration during a regular
Council meeting A detailed list of items nvedmg clarification will be prepared by the City Secretary And
presented to Staff and the Commission
