10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 15, 1997, in the Quarterdeck Conference Room of Tanglewood on Lake
Texoma, Pottsboro, Texas.

The following City Staff department heads took a team approach in their presentations with emphasis
on common issues. Together, they presented their proposed department operations, accomplishments, goals
and objectives, and budget items for FY 1997-98 and discussed them with the City Council:

The Budget Workshop Session was recessed at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, August 15, 1997

The Allen City Council and the City Manager reconvened the FY 1997-98 Budget Workshop Session at
8:30 a.m on Saturday, August 16, in the Quarterdeck Meeting Room of Tanglewood on Lake Texoma,
Pottsboro, Texas. Councilmember Powyszynski was not present.
The following City Staff department heads took a team approach in their presentations with emphasis
on common issues. Together, they presented their proposed department operations, accomplishments, goals
and objectives, and budget items for FY 1997-98 and discussed them with the City Council:

MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Owen and a second by Councilmember Powyszynski,
the Council voted seven (7) for and none (0) opposed to adjourn the FY 1997-98 Budget
Retreat of the Allen City Council/Staff at 2.15 p.m. on Sunday, August 17, 1997 The motion
carried
