Call to Order and Announce a Quorum is Present. With a quorum of the members present, the Triad Meeting was called to order by Mayor Terrell, President Sublette and Chair Sweet at 6:12 p.m. on Monday, April 4, 2006, in the Training Room at the Ronald E. Gentry Training Facilities of the Central Fire Station located at 310 Century Parkway, Allen, Texas. 2. Briefing on the Land Development Use Plan for the SH121 Corridor. Mr. Hoover briefed the Triad on future development along SH121. 3. Briefing Regarding the Drought Contingency Plan. Mr. Massey reviewed the drought contingency plan of the North Texas Municipal Water District. Levels at Lake Lavon have continued to drop due to the drought conditions. The City of Allen will be encouraging conservation through education and rebate program If the area does not receive significant rainfall soon, the District will order Response Stage 3 on June lst. 4. Briefing Regarding the Capital Improvement Program Steering Committee and the Bond Election. TRIAD REGULAR MEETING APRIL 3, 2006 PAGE Mr Baumgartner discussed the 2007-2012 Capital Improvement Program. The public input phase begins on April IP with the kickoff of the CIP Subcommittee meetings. An election is planned for November 2006. 5. Update Regarding the School Finance Issues. Mr. West presented an update on school finance issues and highlighted the outcome of the West Orange Cove lawsuit. The Governor has called a Special Session for April 17" This year marks the 51h year that Allen ISD has been at the $1 50 tax cap which impacts the delivery of services to the growing student population. 6. Update Regarding New Demographic Information. Mr. Helvey presented an update on new demographic information and reviewed the AISD boundary which includes Allen, McKinney, Parker, Lucas and Plano 7. Update Regarding AISD Work with Schlechty Center: Learning Organizations Dr. Preston highlighted the work AISD is doing with the Schlechty Center. She briefed the Triad on the Standard Bearer Network and efforts to move AISD beyond compliance issues to engagement by students and staff 8. Items of Interest • Next TRIAD meeting is scheduled for Monday, October 30, 2006 Allen ISD will host. • Community Announcements — April 20 - Candidate Forum — May 16 - Leadership Allen Class Graduation Adjourn The Triad Meeting was adjourned at 8:04 p.m. on Monday, April 3, 2006.
