1. Call to Order and Announce a Quorum is Present.
With a quomm of the members present, the Triad Meeting was called to order by Mayor Terrell,
President Sublette and Chair Waldbauer at 6:13 p m. on Monday, April 2, 2007, in the Multipurpose
Room at the Allen Senior Recreation Center located at 451 St Mary Drive, Allen, Texas.
2. Information Regarding Drug Awareness.
Chief Rushing thanked Dr. Helvey and Mr. Vargas for their support of drug awareness educational
efforts in Allen. He introduced Sergeant Osbum and Sergeant Deggs who presented information on
the drug threats facing the Allen area, specifically "Cheese' and "Strawberry Quick."
Dr Vroonland spoke on the success of the recent drug awareness seminar held at the Lowery Center
for parents and concerned others in our community
3. Update Regarding the City of Allen Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Bond Election.
Mr Baumgartner provided information on the City of Allen Capital Improvement Program Bond
Election set for May 12"

4. Update Regarding the Allen ISD Strategic Plan.
Dr. Helvey discussed the process used in developing the action items for each goal of the AISD
Strategic Plan. The five year plan will help the District to achieve extraordinary results moving the
community to the desired results in the most efficient way
5. Update Regarding Collin County Day held on February 19-20,2007.
Mr. Hoey provided an overview of Collin County Day held in Austin He also discussed the role of
the Business Advocacy Committee
6. Update Regarding Current Legislative Issues.
Chief Hawley gave an update on the status of several bills of interest to the area.
