Approve Minutes of the April 24, 2007, Regular Meeting. 9. Adopt a Resolution Authorizing the City Manager to Apply for the Texas Department of Transportation "Safe Routes to School' Program, Providing Assistance in Funding for the Design and Construction of the Celebration Pass Trail. RESOLUTION NO. 2621-5-07(R): A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, APPROVING THE SUBMITTAL OF AN APPLICATION TO THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION SAFE ROUTES TO SCHOOL PROGRAM FOR A PROJECT NOMINATION PROVIDED BY THE SAFE, ACCOUNTABLE, FLEXIBLE, EFFICIENT TRANSPORTATION EQUITY ACT A LEGACY FOR USERS (SAFETEA—LU); AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO COMPLETE THE APPLICATION; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. 10. Authorize the City Manager to Execute a Contract with Plano Amateur Radio Klub (PARK) for a Five -Year Term Contract with an Option for Five Additional Five -Year Terms at No Cost for Radio Antennae to be placed on the Prestige Water Tower. 11. Authorize the City Manager to Execute a Contract with Consolidated Traffic Controls, Inc. for the Purchase of a Radio Linked Communication System for School Zone Flashers, for an Amount Not to Exceed $44335 and Establish a Total Project Budget of $57,500. 12. Authorize the City Manager to Execute a Contract with Site Concrete, Inc. for Sidewalk Replacement in the Hillside and Windridge Neighborhoods for an Amount Not to Exceed $76,785.70. 13. Authorize the City Manager to Execute a Contract with Jim Bowman Construction Company, L.P. for the Emergency Construction of a Left Turn Lane on McDermott Drive at Benton Drive for a Amount Not to Exceed $24,990 and to Establish a Project Budget of $30,000. 14. Authorize the City Manager to Purchase One Ford F-150 Supereab Pickup and One Ford Ranger through the Houston -Galveston Area Council of Governments Authorized Contractor, Philpott Motors, for an Amount Not to Exceed $27,581.70. 15. Motion to Cancel the May 22, 2007, Regular Meeting. 16. Motion to Reappoint Mr. James Kerr to the North Texas Municipal Water District Board as a Representative for the City of Allen for a Two -Year Term Effective June 1, 2007, through May 31, 2009. MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councdmember Stout and a second by Mayor Pro Tem Bartlemay, the Council voted seven (7) for and none (0) opposed to adjourn the Regular Meeting of the Allen City Council at 7.37 p.m. on Tuesday, May 8, 2007 The motion carried.
