1. Call to Order and Announce a Quorum is Present.
With a quorum of the members present, the Triad Meeting was called to order by Mayor Terrell,
President Sublette and Chair Waldbauer at 6:15 p.m. on Monday, October 29, 2007, in the
Multipurpose Room at the Allen Senior Recreation Center located at 451 St. Mary Drive, Allen,
Texas
2. Briefing Regarding the School Resource Officer Program for the 2007-08 School Year.
Deputy Chief Stephens spoke briefly about the School Resource Officer program. He introduced
Sergeant Carl Osborne, SRO, who provided an overview of the SRO program, highlighting the
program's accomplishments in the past year. Sergeant Osborne introduced the SRO's who were in
attendance. Each spoke briefly about their positions. Deputy Chief Stephens closed the presentation
and thanked the school district and the City for their support.

E. 3. Update Regarding the Event Center and Other Proposed Developments.
Mr. Vargas provided an overview of the Event Center Project, including Global Entertainment's
market research, capacity of the event center, potential uses, and revenue projections. Mr. Vargas
also gave an update on current development projects, including The Village at Allen, and Watters
Creek at Montgomery Farm.
4. Briefing Regarding the Demographic Study and Future Capital Projects Planning.
Dr Vroonland spoke about the 2007-2008 AISD Demographic Studv, which was compiled using
information provided by AISD's demographer and David Hoover, Director of Planning and
Development. He explained the growth projections in Allen and how that may affect attendance
districts and facilities planning.
Ms. Sides gave an overview of Project Kids 2008, AISD's program to identify and prioritize capital
improvement and facility needs. She spoke about needs identified in the 2003 program and the bond
campaign that will take place in 2008 AISD is currently seeking members to serve on the Project
Kids 2008 committee.
5. Update Regarding the Joint Use Facilities Agreement.
Mr. Dentler briefed the group on the City of Allen/Allen ISD Joint Use Facilities Agreement. The
purpose is to formalize in writing the shared use of City and School District Facilities for their
mutual use and benefit Mr Dentler and Dr. Vroonland explained details of the proposed agreement
regarding scheduling, fees, maintenance and concessions.
6. Approve TRIAD Meeting Dates for the 2008 Calendar Year.
Mayor Terrell announced the dates of the future TRIAD Meetings.
