following the election for the purpose of
canvassing the election held on the 2nd
day of April 1957 for the purpose of
electing (3) three councilmen.
Members Present Mayor: V.B. Watson
Aldermen: R.J. McClure
" L.P. Speight
" C.J. Hefner
" Fred Day
According to the election judge the
votes were as follows:-
Fred Day 72
C.V. Barbee 12
W.C. Harrington 33
Roy A. Hefner 47
Roy R. Carroll 44
H.C. Brooks 26
B.H. Popplewell 83
Therefore Fred Day, Roy A. Hefner
and B.H. Popplewell, were elected to the
office of alderman of the Town of Allen,
Allen Texas. For Two Year term.
Motion L.P. Speight. Sec by J.C. Hefner
that the Election he declared official
four for none against.
