The new councilmen, Mr. Roy A. Hefner, Fred Day,
and B.H. Popplewell, were sworn in as councilmen
for the Town of Allen. Motion by Fred Day, Sec by
Roy A. Hefner to elect J.C. Hefner as Mayor
protem, for the following year. 5 for none against.
Motion by Fred Day, to have the members of the Fire
Department meet with us, to thrash out the location
for the drape for the fire alarm. Sec by Roy A. Hefner,
all members in favor of the motion.
Motion by Fred Day to get a man to
pickup and impound all dogs that do not
have a tag. Dogs will be held in pound for
(3) three days, then they will be properly disposed
of. Dog catcher will be paid $1.00 per dog, for catching
and feeding and disposing of the dogs at the proper time.
If anyone claims a dog that is in the pound
there will be a fee of $2.00 to get the dog.
Motion sec by B.H. Popplewell. 4 for none against.
R.J. McClure had left the meeting at this time.
