POPPELWWL May 25, 1957 Commissioner's Court Collin County McKinney, Texas Gentlemen: Atten: Mr. Major Neely Commissioner, Pres. #4 It is respectfully requested that a portion of the funds available in the Old Allen Road District be used to repair the road connecting Farm Road #2170 to the Central Expressway over- pass north of Allen. Authorization is hereby granted the Comm- issioner, Pres. #4 to come inside city limits to do such work. A portion of this road is now in the city limits of the Town of Allen, but such road was not in city limits when these funds were accumulated from bond issue, therefore we feel that our request is in line as the citizens of Allen paid in part of the funds that are now available. The undersigned committee visited our County Attorney, Mr. Dwight Whitwell, and he advised us that he had given the Commissioner's Court an opinion on this matter to the effect that such funds might be used at the discretion of the Court in an instance such as this where it was used on a main and connecting link within a city limits and mainly where the road was in the old road district. Thanking you, we are Yours very truly, Town of Allen Street Committee . Roy A. Hefner J. C. Hefner Fred Day
