Mayor V.B. Watson, Aldermen R.J. McClure, J.C. Hefner, Fred Day,
B.H. Popplewell, and Roy A. Hefner were present in the meeting.
Mayor Watson presented a resolution as follows:
That W.C. Harrington be hereby appointed to be City Marshall to fill
unexpired term of Mike Downer, said term to run until next election in
April 1958. That a salary of $50.00 per month to be paid from the General
Fund of the Town of Allen Texas.
That $280.82 be hereby transferred from the REVENUE FUND to the General
Fund by reason of payment made to the INTEREST & SINKING FUND, and RESERVE
Fund in July of 1954.
This action was approved by the Town Council of the Town of Allen
this the 27 day of May 1957.
Motion by B.H. Popplewell to hire Mr. W.C. Harrington second by R.J.
McClure, voted (3) Three for / none against.
