Minutes read and approved:
Members present, Hon. Mayor V.B. Watson, Aldermen B.H. Popplewell, Fred
Day, J.C. Hefner, and R.J. McClure. Members absent Roy A. Hefner
Motion by R.J. McClure, to let Mr. Fowler go ahead with the Street Work
at the prices quoted by Mr. Fowler. Single shots to be 20 cents per sq. yard,
two shots at 30 cents per sq. yard, and $16.00 per ton for the Mix to
patch the holes, this includes labor for putting Mix on streets.
and to get C.E. Miller to maintain the streets in preparation for the
street work. Motion sec. by B.H. Popplewell, ayes (4) four -- noes (0) none.
Motion by B.H. Popplewell to raise the Town Secretary $25.00 per month
to be paid from the REVENUE FUND. Sec by Fred Day, ayes (4) four, noes
(0) none.
Motion by Fred Day to let the BUDGET to stand as read for 1957 / 58,
with tax rate of $1.05, sec by R.J. McClure, ayes (4) four, noes (0) none.
