Hon. Mayor V.B. Watson called the meeting to order, with Alderman
Fred Day, R.J. McClure, R.A. Hefner, B.H. Popplewell, and J.C. Hefner
present.
Mr. L.V. Read, & Jesse Graves came into the meeting to discuss
the possibilities of getting water to their property.
Minutes read and approved of the last meeting:
Motion by Roy A. Hefner in regard to furnishing WATER for New
DEVELOPERS: Master Meter to be INSTALLED by DEVELOPER of PROPERTY
outside CITY LIMITS.
City will furnish individual Meters at $40.00 per tap and will
install, service, read, and bill individual. Then the difference
between the total reading of individual Meters and Master Meter will
be billed to Developer, until brought into CITY LIMITS. Motion
sec. by Fred Day, ayes (5) five, noes (0) none.
Motion by Roy A. Hefner to write a letter to the Supt. of the
SOUTHERN-PACIFIC R.-R. and ask them to slow the TRAINS down to 15
or 20 mi. through the Town of Allen, or the TOWN COUNCIL will in t he
near future make a request for a BELL & LIGHT SYSTEM. Motion sec.
by J.C. Hefner, ayes (5) five noes (0) none.

A copy of a motion made in a regular meeting of the Town
Council of the Town of Allen on August 8th 1957 is as follows.
Motion by Roy A. Hefner to write a letter to the Supt.
of the Southern-Pacific R.R. and ask them to please slow the Trains
down to 15 or 20 mi. per hr. through the Town of Allen, or the Town
Council will in the near future make a request for a BELL & LIGHT
SYSTEM. Motion sec. by J.C. Hefner, ayes (5) five, noes (0) none.
