Meeting called to order by John Uland.
Motion carried unanimously.
II.
Call for the Election of Officers
Wendell Housley was nominated for the
Chairman of the Parks and Recreation
Board by Ron Workman, Second Helen Johnson.
Motion made to elect Housley for Chairman
by acclamation. Motion Morgan, Second
Owens.
David Morgan was nominated for Vice
Chairman. Motion made by Ron Workman,
Second Helen Johnson. Motion for Morgan
to be Vice Chairman by acclamation made
by Workman, Second -Jerry Owens.
Motion by Helen Johnson for Ron Workman
to be Secretary. Second David Morgan.
Motion for this appointment by acclamation
by Helen Johnson Second Jerry Owens.
III.
Ordinance No. 306 was read by Ron Workman,
Secretary. This ordinance establishes the
Parks and Recreation Board.
IV.
Report from John Uland, the Director of
the Parks and Recreation for the City of
Allen.
V.
Future Business Items were outlined by
Bland.
1. Uland recommended that they have an
advisory committee to report to the
staff and the council.
2. Recommendations to be made for the
adoption of Standards on areas, faciltites,
programs and financial support.
3. The need to develope rules and regulations
for the conduct of its business for the
council review.
4. The need to develope regulations and
rules and policies governing the use of
parks and recreational facilities.
