Parks and Recreaiton Board
Regular Session
May 28, 1981
Members Present: Wendell Housley, Helen Johnson, Ron Workman
Jerry Owens, and David Morgan
I. Meeting was called to order by Wendell Housley.
II. The minutes from the April 23, 1981, Regular Meeting,
and the May 4, 1981 meetings were approved with
corrections.
III. A. A report from the Parks and Recreation Director,
John Uland, on the number of hours worked by the
staff;
Foreman 50 firs per week
Equipment Operator 46 hrs per week
P.T. Operator 80 hrs bi-weekly
(Allotted Time is 48 Hours)
B. The Board was given an update on the Budget.
C. The Board was given an outline that could be used
in the development of the Parks and Recreation
Policies Manual.
D. The City Manager addressed the Board on its feelings
about the City's involvement in running league play.
He asked the Board if they could give some direction
on this subject. The Board responded unanimously
by stating that the City should be involved in
developing leagues and other recreational activities,
and maintaining those recreational activities to
the highest standards possible.
IV. By -Laws were tabled until the June 11, 1981 Special
Meeting.
V. Motion to adjourn was made by Jerry Owens,Second by
David Morgan. Motion carried, 5 Yes 0 No
