Minutes of last meeting read and approved
Hon. Mayor V.B. Watson presiding, with the following Council members
present , B.H. Popplewell, Fred Day, R.J . McClure, J .C. Hefner & Roy A .
Hefner.
Motion by Fred Day to enter into agreement with Albert Smith to
use his place for a City Dumping Ground, so long as it is satisfactory
with Mr. Smith, such as keeping the trash pushed off in the ditch &
net lotting it get scattered over the pasture . Motion sec by Roy Hefner
(5) Five for / (0) none against.
Motion by R.J . McClure, that Mr . W.E. (Pete) Ford be nominated
to serve on the STEERING COMMITTEE for the Town of Allen, to help make
plans for the dedication service for the OPENING OF THE NEW EXPRESS-
WAY some time the later part of June 1958. Sec by Rey Hefner, Five
for / none against.
Motion by Roy A. Hefner / sec by B .H. Popplewell that unless
some satisfactory settlement can be reached with Mr. S. Eros Brown
on his past due Wrater bills, that the Water be cat off of the S.
Eros Brown lines at the MASTER METER at the Town limits line. At this
time only THREE COUNCIL MEMBERS were PRESENT, all (3) three voted
in favor of this motion.
