meeting concurrent with city council meeting.
the meeting was opened by the president. the first order of business was to hear discussion
of the proposed zoning change of the property of the first united methodist church. mr
melvin gant and rev. romon womack spoke in behalf of the petition. no one spoke in
opposition. the commission voted unanimously to recommedn that the zoning change
be made and the council was verbally informed of the vote
the council examined and voted to approve the rules and by-laws of the commission with
one change: the fee accompanying zoning change petitions was specified to be $50.00
the commission then met with mr. irwin harris. mr. harris presented and discussed some
possible zoning ordinances.
the next meeting was set to be april 3, 1969
meeting was adjourned by the president
