CALL TO ORDER AND ANNOUNCE A QUORUM:
With a quorum of the Commissioners present, the Allen Planning & Zoning Com-
mission was called to order at 7:08 p.m. by Chairman Garcia at the Allen Municipal
Annex, City Council Chambers, One Butler Circle, Allen, Texas.
WORKSHOP - TWIN CREEKS
Chairman Garcia stated that he has received a request in the form of a letter from
Mr. Richard Ferrara regarding the deadline for completion of this project. The
proponent has requested atwo-week postponement of the workshops.
Mr. Petty stated that the 90 -day requirement is a local ordinance, not State law.
It is a protective device for the proponent to assure them of a recommendation in
a reasonable length of time. He suggested that the Commission might choose to
try to complete their review and make a recommendation within the 90 days, or
that the City Council might interpret this as allowing an additional two weeks to
the 90 -day limit.
The request is from the proponent, and they are holding the City harmless on the
90 -day requirement.
Chairman Garcia requested staff to follow up with the City Council and advise
them of the request.

Mr. Ferrara stated that they are hoping to not add time to the process, but to
resolve the issues within the original 90 -day limit.
MOTION: Upon a motion by Commissioner Crume and a second by Commissioner
Biggs, the Commission voted 6 FOR and 0 OPPOSED to approve the
request for a two-week postponement of the workshop sessions on
this request.

February 4, 1993, meeting of the Allen Planning & Zoning Commission
at 7:15 p.m.
