Call to Order
With a quorum of the Board members present, the Regular Meeting of the Allen Convention and Visitor's
Bureau Advisory Board was called to order by Chair Musa at 8:02 a.m. on Wednesday,May 12, 2021, in the
Council Conference Room at Allen City Hall, 305 Century Parkway,Allen,Texas 75013.
1. Discuss Board Evaluation Form
Board members will complete the form and return it to Chair Musa by June 1.
2. Approve Minutes of the November 11,2020,Regular Meeting.
MOTION: Upon a motion made by Board Member Arnold and a second by Board Member Lakes, the
Board voted seven(7)for and none(0)opposed to approve the minutes of November 11,2020,
Regular Meeting. The motion carried.
3. Update on Current Market Conditions of the Allen Hotel Industry.
Visit Allen continues to increase performance in marketing metrics.
4. Convention Center Update.
Transition to new management company, Crescent Hotels, in January 2021 is going well with Ray
Hammer as the new General Manager.
5. Update on Marketing Initiatives.
CVB Director Cromwell presented the 2021 initiatives on managing the brand and communication
efforts for CVB through social media. She also provided updates on the Shop Allen TX program.
6. Update on Sales Initiatives.

CVB Director Cromwell provided an update on CVB sales success such as
- 2022 Southern Baptist of Texas Convention—Breathe Deep Retreat
- 2021 National Bodybuilding
- US Figure Skating 2021 Nine State Championships
- 2024 Texas Association of School Psychologists

Chair Musa adjourned the Regular Meeting of the Allen Convention and Visit's Bureau Advisory Board at
9:05 a.m. on Wednesday,May 12,2021.
