1. Call to Order and Announce a Quorum is Present.
With a quorum of the Councilmembers present,the Special Called Meeting of the Allen City Council was called
to order by Mayor Pro Tern Brooks at 5:00 p.m. on Monday,November 15,2021, in the Council Chambers of
the Allen City Hall, 305 Century Parkway, Allen, Texas. In accordance with Section 67.004.a. of the Texas
Election Code,two members of the authority constitute a quorum for purposes of canvassing an election.
2. Pledge of Allegiance.
3. Consider All Matters Incident and Related to the Special Election Held on November 2,2021
3.1 Canvass of Election Returns.
3.2 Adopt a Resolution Declaring the Results of the Special Election for Proposed
Amendments to the Home Rule Charter.
RESOLUTION NO.3880-11-21(R): A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE
SPECIAL ELECTION OF THE CITY OF ALLEN HELD NOVEMBER 2, 2021, FOR
PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE HOME RULE CITY CHARTER;AND PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

MOTION: Upon a motion by Councilmember Schulmeister and a second by Councilmember Shafer, the
Council voted four(4)for and none(0) opposed to approve Resolution No. 3880-11-21(R), as
previously captioned, declaring the results of the November 2, 2021, Special Election. The
motion carried.
Mayor Pro Tem Brooks announced that the Canvass of the Election was completed.
4. Adjournment.
MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Shafer and a second by Councilmember Cornette,the
Council voted four(4) for and none(0) opposed to adjourn.the Special Called Meeting of the
Allen City Council at 5:05 p.m. on Monday,November 15, 2021. The motion carried.
