Call to Order
With a quorum of the Board members present,the Regular Meeting of the Keep Allen Beautiful Board
was called to order by Chair Ponder at 6:44 PM on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, in the City Hall
Basement Conference Room A of City Hall, 305 Century Parkway,Allen,TX 75013.
1. Election of Board Officers.
MOTION: Upon a motion made by Board Member Ponder and a second by Board Member
Chisholm, the Board voted seven (7) for and zero (0) opposed to approve the motion
that Susan Ponder be elected Chair and Steve Chisholm be elected Vice Chair. The
motion carried.
2. Approve Minutes of the August 17, 2021,Regular Meeting.
MOTION: Upon a motion made by Board Member Chisholm and a second by Board Member
Walters, the Board voted seven(7) for and zero (0) opposed to approve the minutes.
3. Receive Financial Report.
MOTION: Upon a motion made by Board Member Ahmad and a second by Board Member
Chowdhury, the Board voted seven (7) for and zero (0) opposed to approve the
Financial Report. The motion carried.
4. KAB Orientation. Josue Diaz discussed the KAB schedule of events.
5. Receive Update on KAB Event and Projects.
• Educator Expo—September 28, 2021 —Josue Diaz described the virtual event.
• AISD Litter Cleanup—October 16, 2021 —Josue Diaz reported the results.
• Trees for Allen—October 16—Board Member Hermida and Board Member Chowdhury
discussed the event.
• Arbor Day—October 30—Josue Diaz described the Arbor Day event.

• Recycled Art Contest—October 18—November 6, 2021 —Donna Kliewer reported the
schedule of events for the contest. Board Member Ponder explained the event.
• Allen Recycles Day—November 6, 2021 —Susan Ponder explained the event.
6. Discuss Outreach Initiatives.
Donna Kliewer discussed the changes to bulk and recycling schedule.
Adjournment
MOTION: Upon a motion made by Board Member Chisholm and a second by Board Member
Walters, the Board voted six (0) for and zero (0) opposed to adjourn the Regular
Meeting of the Keep Allen Beautiful Board at 8:05 p.m. on Tuesday, October 19,2021.
The motion carried.
