Call to Order
With a quorum of the Board members present,the Regular Meeting of the Keep Allen Beautiful Board
was called to order by Chair Smith at 6:41 PM on Tuesday,August 17,2021,in the City Hall Basement
Conference Room A of City Hall, 305 Century Parkway,Allen,TX 75013.
1. Approve Minutes of the July 20,2021,Regular Meeting.
MOTION: Upon a motion made by Board Member Ponder and a second by Board Member
Chisholm,the Board voted four(4) for and zero (0) opposed to approve the minutes.
2. Receive Financial Report.
MOTION: Upon a motion made by,Board Member Chisholm and a second by Board Member
Ponder, the Board voted four (4) for and zero (0) opposed to approve the Financial
Report. The motion carried.
3. Receive Update on KAB Event and Projects.
• Litter Index—July 17-25, 2021 —Josue Diaz reported the results of the Litter Index and
explained how it works for everyone in attendance.
• Educator Expo—September 28,2021 —Andrea Smith described the event and the
explained COVID 19 precautions plan.
• AISD Litter Cleanup—October 16, 2021 —Josue Diaz reported that the litter supplies
have been ordered for the project.
• Trees for Allen/Arbor Day—TBA—Andrea Smith described the changes to the program.
Collection date is set for October 16, 2021.
• Recycled Art Contest—October 18—November 6, 2021 —Andrea Smith reported the
changes to the contest.
• Allen Recycles Day—November 6, 2021 -Josue Diaz and Andrea Smith explained the
event and the COVID 19 precautions.
4. Discuss Outreach Initiatives.
Andrea Smith and Josue Diaz reported that they finished their Camp Star environmental lessons.

MOTION: Upon a motion made by Board Member McIntosh and a second by Board Member
Chisholm, the Board voted four (4) for and zero (0) opposed to adjourn the Regular
Meeting of the Keep Allen Beautiful Board at 7:39 p.m. on Tuesday,August 17, 2021.
The motion carried.
