Call to Order
With a quorum of the Board members present,the Regular Meeting of the Keep Allen Beautiful Board
was called to order by Chair Smith at 6:31 PM on Wednesday,March 17,2021,via video conference.
1. Approve Minutes of the January 19, 2021,Regular Meeting.
MOTION: Upon a motion made by Board Member Ponder and a second by Board Member Rude,
the Board voted six(6) for and zero (0) opposed to approve the minutes.
2. Receive Financial Report.
MOTION: Upon a motion made by Board Member Ahmad and a second by Board Member
Chisholm,the Board voted seven(6) for and zero (0) opposed to approve the Financial
Report. The motion carried.
3. Receive Update on KAB Event and Projects.
• Arbor Day Poster Contest—February 5, 2021 —After Action Report. Andrea Smith
discussed the details of the contest.
• Allen Eagle Run—February 27, 2021 —After Action Report. Josue Diaz discussed the
changes to the virtual setting.
• KAB Report to Council Presented by Ryan Smith—March 23, 2021 —Update. Ryan
Smith discussed the presentation.
• Beautify Texas Awards—March 25, 2021 —Update. Andrea Smith and Josue Diaz
discussed the award submittals.
• Litter Index—April 3 - 17, 2021 —Update. Josue Diaz discussed the update to a virtual
system.
• Great American Cleanup—April 17, 2021 —Update. Josue Diaz discussed event changes.
4. Discuss Outreach Initiatives. Josue Diaz and Andrea Smith discussed KAB outreach
initiatives including Hootsuite, Education webpage, GAC/ARD webpage addition.

MOTION: Upon a motion made by Board Member Ponder and a second by Board Member
Chisholm, the Board voted six (6) for and zero (0) opposed to adjourn the Regular
Meeting of the Keep Allen Beautiful Board at 7:32 p.m. on Wednesday, March 17,
2021. The motion carried.
