Call to Order
With a quorum of the Board members present,the Regular Meeting of the Keep Allen Beautiful Board
was called to order by Chair Smith at 6:30 PM on Tuesday, January 19, 2021, via video conference.
1. Approve Minutes of the October 20,2020,Regular Meeting.
MOTION: Upon a motion made by Board Member Chisholm and a second by Board Member
Kacines, the Board voted seven(7) for and zero (0) opposed to approve the minutes.
2. Receive Financial Report.
MOTION: Upon a motion made by Board Member Ponder and a second by Board Member
Ahmad, the Board voted seven (7) for and zero (0) opposed to approve the Financial
Report.The motion carried.
3. Receive Update on KAB Event and Projects.
• Allen Recycles Day—November 07, 2020—After action report. Josue Diaz discussed the
outcome of the event. The board made suggestions for improvement.
• Recycled Art Contest—November 07, 2020—After action report. Andrea Smith
discussed the contest outcome.
• Arbor Day Poster Contest—February 05, 2021 —Update. Josue Diaz reported the shift to
a virtual format. Andrea Smith discussed the contest outcome.
• Allen Eagle Run—February 27, 2021 —Update. Josue Diaz reported the changes to the
event and how KAB will participate.
• Great American Cleanup—April 17, 2021 —Update. Josue Diaz reported the changes to
the event and how KAB will participate.
4. Discuss Outreach Initiatives. Josue Diaz and Andrea Smith discussed KAB outreach
initiatives.

MOTION: Upon a motion made by Board Member Ponder and a second by Board Member
Chisholm, the Board voted six (7) for and zero (0) opposed to adjourn the Regular
Meeting of the Keep Allen Beautiful Board at 7:49 p.m. on Tuesday, October 20,2020.
The motion carried.
