Call to Order
With a quorum of the Board members present,the Regular Meeting of the Keep Allen Beautiful Board
was called to order by Chair Smith at 6:31 PM on Tuesday, October 20, 2020, via video conference.
1. Approve Minutes of the August 18,2020, Regular Meeting.
MOTION: Upon a motion made by Board Member Kacines and a second by Board Member
Ahmad, the Board voted seven(7) for and zero (0) opposed to approve the minutes.
2. Receive Financial Report.
MOTION: Upon a motion made by Board Member Ponder and a second by Board Member
Chisholm,the Board voted seven(7) for and zero (0) opposed to approve the Financial
Report. The motion carried.
3. Board Introductions.The board introduced themselves.
4. KAB Orientation. Ryan Smith discussed the KAB schedule of events.
5. Election of Officers.
MOTION: Upon a motion made by Board Member Kacines and a second by Board Member Rude,
the Board voted seven (7) for and zero (0) opposed to approve the motion that Ryan
Smith be elected Chair and Susan Ponder be Vice Chair. The motion carried.
6. Receive Update on KAB Event and Projects.
• Allen Recycles Day—November 07, 2020—Update. Josue Diaz discussed the changes
made to the event.
• Recycled Art Contest—November 07, 2020—Update. Andrea Smith discussed the
contest rules.
7. Discuss Outreach Initiatives. Josue Diaz and Andrea Smith discussed KAB outreach
initiatives.

MOTION: Upon a motion made by Board Member Ponder and a second by Board Member
Chisholm, the Board voted six (7) for and zero (0) opposed to adjourn the Regular
Meeting of the Keep Allen Beautiful Board at 7:49 p.m. on Tuesday, October 20,2020.
The motion carried.
