Members present as follows : Mayor Gentry T. Jones , Aldermen Phil
Pringle, J.C. Hefner, F. Dean Sears C. E. Ottaway and Talmadge L. Oxford .
Discussions on different issues that had not been completed .
Opening; of street on NORTH AVE C . East into the Colored section of town.
About Trash & garbage disposal.
Checking Water Line in North part of Town to see if they need any
wrapping or covering
Mr Ottaway gave a report on the Fire-Department, He was asked to
follow through with his work with the Fire-Dept. with the purpose of
reorganizing.
The Council suggested that the Mayor carry out the removing of the
TREES at the corner of the Garland property on West Ave D South,
Mr. Ottaway approved the payment of current bills, sec . by J.C .
Hefner / potion Passed / Ayes (5) Five / noes none.
Motion by C .E. Ottaway that all bills including Salaries, utilities,
Materials & ect. be approved by the Town Council before they are paid.
Motion was second by Phil Pringle . Votes as follows Ayes (3) three,
Mr. C .E. Ottaway. J.C.Hefner and Phil Pringle. Noes (2) Two F. Dean
Sears and Talmadge L. Oxford . (passed )
Motion was made by F. Dean Sears that Phil Pringle be made MAYOR
PRO*TEM. Sec . by J.C. Hefner / Motion passed Ayes (4) Four / noes
(1) One Phil.
Motion to adjourn by Mayor Jones / sec by Hefner
