JUNE 28 1962
Meeting called to order by Mayor Gentry T. Jones, with the following
Council members present : C.E. Ottaway, Talmadge L. Oxford, F. Dean
Sears, Phil Pringle and J.C. Hefner.
Minutes read and approved, bills presented, Motion was made by Phil
Pringle that all bills be paid, second by Dean Sears, motion passed
ayes (5) Five / noes (0) none.
Weed Ordinance for the Town of Allen was read by Mayor Gentry T. Jones
Motion by F. Dean Sears that the TOWN COUNCIL accept the
WEED ORDINANCE as written by our attorney, Mr. Alex Orr. Second by Phil
Pringle, motion passed - ayes (4) FOUR/ / ONE Abstention (T.L. O.)
Motion by Phil Pringle that the TAX RATE for the year 1962 rendition
be set at $ 1.10 per $100.00 valuation, motion passed- - ayes (5) Five
noes (0) none.
Discussion on the recommendations dated June 27, 1962 which was read by
Mayor Gentry T. Jones, upon a motion by C.E. Ottaway that the recommenda-
tions of the Mayor be checked by the City Attorney and brought back to
the Council at a later date, was second by Talmadge Oxford. Motion passed
ayes (5) Five / noes (0) none.

Mayor Jones presented the BUDGET for the year 1962-63 for the Town of
Allen General Fund. Mr. Ottaway moved that the BUDGET for the fiscal
year be accepted, motion passed ayes (5) Five noes (0) none.

Some comment regarding the possibility of Dr. Webb building a Clinic
in Allen.
Motion by Mr Ottaway to issue permit to Mr. Judkin, sec. by Mr. Sears
motion passed ayes (5) Five / noes (0) none.
