Regular Meeting of the Town Council, Town of Allen

Meeting called to order by Mayor Gentry T. Jones.
Minutes read and approved :
Council Members present as Follows, J .C. Hefner, C.E. Ottoway,
F. Dean Sears and Phil Pringle. Talmadge L. Oxford absent.
Outstanding bills read and Mr. Ottoway moved that they be paid,
second by Mr. Pringle, motion passed . Ayes (4) Four/noes (0) none.
Motion by F. Dean Sears that we do not cover the items listed
for insurance at this time, second by Mr. Ottoway, motion passed
ayes (4) Four / noes none . (The items listed covered the Water tower,
storage tank, well pumps , pump-house electric equipment ,sewer pumps,
sewer tank and ect. ) . List attached
Motion by Mr. Sears that the Mayor contact Dr. Apple about filling
the WELL on his property or have the City fill the WELL and send Dr.
Apple a bill for the work. Sec by Phil Pringle, motion passed ayes
(4) Four / noes (0) none.
Discussion about putting a 2" WATER LINE under highway # 5,
near the East end of ELLIS Street, a motion was made by Phil Pringle
that a 2 inch line be put under highway # 5, sec. by Mr. Ottoway
motion passed ayes (4) Four // noes (0) none.
Mayor Gentry T. Jones read Ordinance # 29 in regard to extending
the City Limits of the Town of Allen. A motion was made by
C.E. Ottoway that the said Ordinance be enacted and passed, motion
was second by Phil Pringle. Ayes (4) Four / noes (0) none.
