Minutes of November 20, 1962 meeting read and approved .
Meeting called to order by Mayor Jones with the following
Council Members present : C. Ottoway, Cy Hefner, Phil Pringle,
Dean Sears and T. L. Oxford
Bills due, presented to Council for review;
MOTION by Mr Sears that all Bills presented be paid. Second by
Mr Oxford. Ayes-5; Noes-0 Motion Carried .
Mr and Mrs Hoagland and Mr W. E. Ford were present to discuss
with the Council plans for a drive-in cafe and trailer park
tentatively planned . Discussion included sketches of cafe
and trailer park, type of streets, size of lots etc.
MOTION; by Mr. Pringle that no houses be moved into the City
of Allen without special permission from the City to
do so. Second by Mr. Sears. Ayes - 5; Noes - 0
Motion carried.
Motion; by Mr Ottoway that the Mayor invite the City Engineer
to meet with the City Council at the next regular meeting
for consultation on several matters concerning present
engineering needs. Second by Mr Pringle. Ayes - 5; Noes-0
Motion carried .
Motion; by Mr Oxford that immediate temporary repairs be made to
Ave AA (East ) North from FM Road 2170 pending more
permanent repairs. Second by Mr Sears . Ayes-5; Noes-O.
Motion carried.
Motion; by Mr Hefner that the City hire Mr Lloyd Dement to do
some street cleaning in certain areas where needed.
Second by Oxford. Ayes-5; Noes-O. Motion carried .
Motion; by Mr Ottoway that the City repair North 3rd Street (West)
from "West Ave B North" east to Ave AA (West) and then
along Ave AA (West) North in that area where repairs are
needed. Second by Mr Hefner. Ayes-5; Noes-0; Motion carried .
