Dec. 27th 1962
Meeting called to order by Mayor Gentry T. Jones
Council Members present as follows : F. Dean Sears, T.L. Oxford,
Phil Pringle and C .E. Ottoway. J.C. Hefner absent.
Walter F. Hicks Jr. ( Engineer ) was also present.
Bills presented ; Mr. Ottoway moved bills be approved, sec . by
Mr. Pringle. Motion passed . Ayes (4) Four- - noes (0) none.
The Council's discussion with Mr. Hicks was in regard to a
Survey of the SEWER for extension of the line for a future
site, the cost of a planning Survey, cost of report & Etc.
Mr. Hicks states that there will be no charges until the
time of the actual construction, at that time the Engineering
firm would charge for the actual work they had done at the
regular engineering rate ( or fee ) . Mr. Hicks also said that
it would be about January 15th 1963 before they could make any
Survey.
Mr. Hicks also informed the Council that the Federal Government
will pay up to 30 % on Sewer extensions and Engineering.
Motion: By Mr. Pringle that Mr. Hicks be instructed to present a
contract to cover a preliminary Survey, second by Mr. Sears .
Motion carried ayes (4) Four -- noes (0) none.
Motion: By Mr. Ottoway that all SALARIES for the coming year be
carried on the same as this year. Second by Phil Pringle.
Motion passed ayes (4) Four -- noes (0) none.
