The workshop meeting of the Allen Sign Control Board was
called to order by Chairman Rick Alexander, at 7:30 o.m. at the
Allen Municipal Annex, One Butler Circle, Allen, Texas.
Workshop Discuss
Sign Regulation Ordinance (Agenda Item II)
The Board made a list of goals that they are wanting to
accomplish on the Sign Regulations Ordinance.
One of the changes mentioned was one that would make the
enforcement process easier. Another goal brought up was to
accommodate temporary sign needs for church and non-profit
organizations. Other items that were topic of discussion were
billboards and shopping center signs.
Consensus of the Sign Board was to have staff draft a
document with the proposed recommended changes.
Adjournment:
MOTION: Upon a motion by Board Member Kirkindoll and a second
by Board Member Karlsruher, the Board voted 5-0 to
adjourn the meeting at 8:55 p.m. The motion carried.
