REGULAR MEETING
OCTOBER 13, 1987

CALL TO ORDER:
The Allen Sign Control Board was called to order at 7:30 p.m.
on October 13, 1987, at the Allen Municipal Annex, City Council
Chambers, One Butler Circle, Allen, Texas, by Vice -Chairman Biggs.
Election of Officers (Agenda Item II)
Vice -Chairman Biggs read the agenda item into the record as
follows:
"Election of Officers: Chairman, Vice -Chairman,
Secretary."
Board Member Curtis placed the name of George Chrisman in
nomination for Chairman. Board Member Kleinschmidt seconded
the nomination, and George Chrisman was elected Chairman by
acclamation.
Board Member Kleinschmidt placed the name of Harold Biggs
in nomination for the office of Vice -Chairman. Board Member
Curtis seconded the nomination, and Harold Biggs was elected
Vice -Chairman by acclamation.
Board Member Curtis placed the name of Bruce Kleinschmidt in
nomination for the office of Secretary. Board Member Leverett
seconded the nomination, and Bruce Kleinschmidt was elected
Secretary by acclamation.

Vice -Chairman Biggs read the agenda item into the record
as follows:
"Approve minutes of September 8, 1987, regular meeting."
MOTION: Upon a motion by Board Member Kleinschmidt and a
second by Board Member Curtis, the Board voted
4 FOR and 0 OPPOSED to approve the minutes of
September 8, 1987, as presented. The motion carried.
Renewal Class 4 Sign
Allen Towne Center
(Agenda Item IV)
Vice -Chairman Biggs read the agenda item into the record as
follows:
"Consider third renewal of Class 4 sign for Allen Towne
Center, located at the northeast corner of F.M. 2170 and
S.H. 5."
The Board discussed the fact that this sign is in good repair
at this time.
MOTION: Upon a motion by Board Member Curtis and a second
by Board Member Leverett, the Board voted 4 FOR and
0 OPPOSED to approve the third renewal for Agenda
Item IV. The motion carried.
Renewal Class 4 Sign
601 Ridgemont - Richmond American (Agenda Item V)
Vice -Chairman Biggs read the agenda item into the record as
follows:
"Consider first renewal for Class 4 sign for Dallas
Sign and Design representing Richmond American Homes,
located at 601 Ridgemont."
The Board discussed the fact that this sign is in good repair
at this time.
MOTION: Upon a motion by Board Member Kleinschmidt and a
second by Board Member Curtis, the Board voted
4 FOR and 0 OPPOSED to approve the first renewal
for Agenda Item V. The motion carried.

Renewal Class 4 Sign
601 English Oak - Richmond American (Agenda Item VI)
Vice -Chairman Biggs read the agenda item into the record as
follows:
"Consider first renewal for Class 4 sign for
Dallas Sign and Design representing Richmond
American Homes, located at 601 English Oak."
The Board discussed the fact that this sign is in good repair
at this time.
MOTION: Upon a motion by Board Member Kleinschmidt and
a second by Board Member Curtis, the Board voted
4 FOR and 0 OPPOSED to approve the first renewal
for Agenda Item VI. The motion carried.
Other Business•
Sally Leeper introduced new Board Member Randy Leverett to the
Board members.
Mr. Del Ferro advised the Board that no Class 4 sign permits
were issued this past month.
Adjourn:
MOTION: Upon a motion by Board Member Kleinschmidt and a
second by Board Member Leverett, the Board voted
4 FOR and 0 OPPOSED to adjourn the October 13, 1987,
meeting of the Allen Sign Control Board at 7:50 p.m.
