Min - Board of Adjustment - 1989 - 05/09 - RegularALLEN SIGN CONTROL BOARD REGULAR MEETING MAY 9, 1989 cvmuyar����au�oe Board Members Present: George Chrisman, Chairman Gary Crowe Sheila Curtis Valree' Cox Board Members Absent: Randall Leverett City Staff Present: Joseph Del Ferro, Environmental Health Inspector Sally Leeper, Secretary CALL TO ORDER: The Allen Sign Control Board was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Chairman Chrisman at the Allen Municipal Annex, One Butler Circle, Allen, Texas. Approve Minutes April 11, 1989 (Agenda Item II) Chairman Chrisman read the agenda item into the record as follows: "Approve minutes of April 11, 1989, regular meeting." Chairman Chrisman noted that the two absentee members were not noted on the minutes. MOTION: Upon a motion by Board Member Cox and a second by Board Member Chrisman, the Board voted 4 FOR and 0 OPPOSED to approve the minutes of April 11, 1989, as corrected. SIGN CONTROL BOARD MAY 9, 1989 PAGE 2 Renewal - Class 4 Sign Marymark Homes (Agenda Item III) Chairman Chrisman read the agenda item into the record as follows: "Consider 4th renewal for Class 4 sign for Marymark Homes located at 800 Fall Drive." Mr. Del Ferro advised that the sign is in good repair. The Board suggested that this sign should be reviewed at next renewal in terms of the status of buildout in the development. MOTION: Upon a motion by Board Member Crowe and a second by Board Member Curtis, the Board voted 4 FOR and 0 OPPOSED to approve the renewal for Marymark Homes. Renewal - Nova Development 400 West Bethany (Agenda Item IV Chairman Chrisman read the agenda item into the record as follows "Consider 5th renewal for Class 4 sign for Nova Development located at 400 W. Bethany." Mr. Del Ferro advised that the sign is in good repair. MOTION: Upon a motion by Board Member Curtis and a second by Board Member Cox, the Board voted 4 FOR and 0 OPPOSED to approve the 5th renewal for Nova Development. Renewal - Nova Development Bethany East of U.S. 75 (Agenda Item V) Chairman Chrisman read the agenda item into the record as follows: "Consider 5th renewal for Class 4 sign for Nova Development located north of Bethany and east of U.S. 75." Mr. Del Ferro advised that the sign is in good repair. MOTION: Upon a motion by Board Member Cox and a second by Board Member Curtis, the Board voted 4 FOR and 0 OPPOSED to approve the 5th renewal for Class 4 sign for Nova Development. H SIGN CONTROL BOARD MAY 9, 1989 PAGE 3 Report of Class 4 Sims Issued: Mr. Del Ferro reported one Class 4 sign permit had been issued since the last meeting. Annual Review of Sign Ordinance: Chairman Chrisman questioned whether the results of the Economic Alliance survey with regard to questions concerning signs would be made available to the Sign Board and asked staff to pursue this issue. The questions of banner regulations was discussed as well as the question of whether their was a need to review the political sign regulations. ADJOURN: MOTION: Upon a motion by Board Member Curtis and a second by Board Member Cox, the Board voted 4 FOR and 0 OPPOSED to adjourn the May 9, 1989, meeting of the Allen Sign Control Board at 8:05 p.m. C� These minutes approved this -= day of I — _ , 1989.
