Call to Order and Announce a Quorum is Present
With a quorum of the committee members present, the regular meeting of the Public Art
Committee was called to order by Chair Gilbert at 6:00 pm on Tuesday. October 21, 2014 in the
Parks and Recreation Conference Room at 305 Century Parkway. Allen, Texas.
Action Items
1. Election of Officers
Chair Gilbert opened nominations for the positions. Member Bennett nominates Ann Carroll for
Chair, member Carroll nominates Steve Benson for Vice Chair and member Benson nominates
Tod Raines for Secretary
MOTION: Upon a motion made by committee member Gilbert and seconded by committee
member Bennett, the committee voted seven (7) for and none (0) opposed to elect
Ann Carroll to the office of Commitee Chair, Steve Benson to the office of Vice -
Chair and Tod Raines to the office of Secretary.
2. Approve Minutes from the September 16, 2014 Regular Meeting.
MOTION: Upon a motion made by committee member Gilbert and seconded by committee
member Bennett, the committee voted seven (7) for and none (0) opposed to accept
minutes from the September 16. 2014 regular meeting as presented.

3. Artist Selection for Public Art Project at Watters Branch Community Park
PUBLIC ART COMMITTE
REGULAR MEETING
October 21, 2014
' Committee members shared as many as five of their top artist selections from the list of potential
artists compiled during the previous meeting. The group then reviewed the works of these artists
together further narrowing the list to eight artists that the committee would be interested in
extending an invitational call.
4. Ongoing Project Updates
The plaque for Chac has been delayed, but will be installed upon its arrival. The Cottonwood
Creek Trail Bridge project will likely start late spring.
