With a quorum of the Board present. the Keep Allen Beautiful Regular meeting was called to order
at 7 15 p.m on Tuesday, January 19, 1999, at the Allen City Hall Conference Room, One Butler Circle
Aoorove Minutes of November 17,1998, Regular Meetine (Agenda Item II)
A motion was made and seconded to approve the minutes of the November 17 1998, meeting. The Board
voted six (6) for and none (0) opposed, the minutes were approved
Miscellaneous Items (Agenda Item III)
• 501.0 Status - Fors are on the way Phil says that he doesn't think it will be to much longer until this
will be completed
• Joint Meeting Parks and Recreation Board—Phil will get in touch with Jim Waldbauer, Chair for the
Parks Board and see if there is an interest in working together on a project or having a get together.
• McDermott Median Project — We will be doing this project in conjunction with Tim Dentler. It will
probably be in March/Apnl when weather is warmer.
• Compost Facility Update — New cement fencing has been added in the area just north of the compost
facility to try and slow down the illegal dumping problem that we've been having.
• Items of Interest — Everyone will be thinking of an outreach program for AISD students we want to get
them to come out with then parents to help with the annual cleanup events Think of a way that we can
get bags handed out to residents in advance of cleanups Need a catchy slogan for the April event. What
do we want to do for Allen Arts Alliance Festival in May? Do we want to have a booth at Spring Fest9
