With a quorum of the Board present, the Keep Allen Beautiful Regular meeting was called to ruder
at 7:35 p.m on Tuesday, February 16, 1999, at the Allen City Hall Conference Room, One Butler Circle.

A motion was made and seconded to approve the minutes of the January 19. 1999, regular meeting.
The Board voted few (4) for and none (0) opposed, the minutes were approved
Miscellaneous Items (Agenda Item III)
• 501.6 Status - Phil is getting the final forms ready for IRS Eche will be getting some information for
him to finalize them. The forms will have to go to the City Attorney for review. Once they are approved
in the legal department Phil will mad them
• Joint Meeting Parks and Recreation Board — Phil still needs to get in touch with Jim Waldbauer,
Chair for the Parks Board and see if there is an interest in working together on a project or having a joint
mmtmg together.
• McDermott Median Project — We will be doing this project in conjunction with Tim Dentler Tim had
mentioned to Edie that March 27 and 28 might be a good time if the weather is cooperative
• Spring Fest — The Board said that they would rather not have a booth Edie is going to check with Allen
Community Outreach and see if they would like us to volunteer as helpers that day.
• Compost Facility Fencing — We did put up fencing to keep the illegal dumpers out of the fwflity. On
Friday February 19, 1999, we hauled some wood chips into that area so that the residents could have
access to them. We will keep ours eyes open and attempt to keep this area clean.
• Items of Interest — Discussed the Keep America Beautiful Training and the Coordinators Meeting. I
will check with Grace and Brent to see if they are interested Saturday, April 17, 1999, will be our nest
cleanup. We are going to try and have it in more centralized location. The Board voted four (4) for and
none (0) opposed to naming all of our clean up events, `KEEP ALLEN BEAUTIFUL DAY'. The
Board thinks that if we use this as the name for all of our cleanup events it will start sticking in the
residents mends and we can reuse banners, flyers, etc
