With a quorum of the Board present. the Keep Allen Beautiful Regular meeting was called to order
at 7 32 p in on Tuesday. March 16, 1999, at the Allen City Hall Conference Room. One Butler Circle
Approve Minutes of February 16.1999, Regular Meeting (Agenda Item II)
A motion was made and seconded to approve the minutes of the February 16, 1999, regular meeting
The Board voted four (4) for and none (0) opposed, the minutes were approved
Tim Dender on McDermott ProieM (Agenda Item IM
The Board made plans to do the McDermott median project on Saturday March 27 and Sunday
March 28. We will meet at City Hall at 8 00 am Lennie will try to get some volunteers to help us. The
project will be done if weather permits
Miscellaneous Items (Agenda Item IV)
• 501.0 Status - Phil has the final fors ready The next step is for the forms to go to the City
Attorney for legal review
• Joint Meeting Parks and Recreation Board — We will plan to have a joint meeting with the Parks
Board on Monday April 12, 1999, at the Parks and Recreation Center on Bethany More information
will be coming in your agenda packet Dinner will be provided
• Spring Fest — We will be volunteering to help early that day More information will be given at next
meeting.
• Trash —Off Event Saturday, April 17, 1999 — All the pre -event items have been done. The only things
left will be the jobs right before and the day of the event. We will bring up and discuss at our next
meeting.
• Compost Facility Fencing —Lonnie said he is going to check and see what needs to be done
• Items of Interest —Board wants to do a brochure or letter of welcome to new businesses Phil Lakin
will be looking into the "Up with Trees" program. Pat is going to try to get started on the Governors
Award for Keep Texas Beautiful
