Call to Order
(Agenda Item I)
With a quorum of the Board present, the Keep Allen Beautiful Regular meeting was called to order
at 7 10 p in on Tuesdav, November 16, 1999, in the City Hall Conference Room. One Butler Cirelc
Approve the Mantes of the October 19, 1999, Regular Meeting (Agenda Item II)
A motion was made and seconded to approve the minutes of the October 19, 1999, meeting. The
Board voted five (5) for and none 10) opposed, the minutes were approved
Recap of Texas Recycles Day November 13,1999, Event (Agenda Item III)
The event was very successful We had an estimated 500 or more volunteers The total tonnage
was 57 tons this is a 52% increase in tonnage Registration went well, Lonnie suggests that we plan on not
having pre -registration next year The recycled Art projects were excellent and a lot of Fun. We had 39
entries at three levels, all winners were highlighted in an article in the Allen News Pat. Shelia and Amv
will take care of the awards for the winners
Items of Interest (Agenda Item IV)
Discussion about Chnstmas parade which is Saturday, December 4, 1999, at 3:00 p.m You need to
be at Allen High School at 3'00 p.m. I'll let you know more when I get our letter of confirmation Will
wear sweatshirts and handout candy canes Can we get Art project winners to cam banner in front of
recycling truck on parade route? There will be no meeting in December The next meeting will be in
January on Tuesday the 186 We will have a pizza party the Club House at Bethany Lakes is already
booked If you have an idea of where we can have it let me know. If all else fails, we can have it in the
break room at City Hall
