1. Call to Order and Announce a Ouorum is Present
With a quorum present, Keep Allen Beautiful Regular Meeting was called to order by Chair Pat
Buckley at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. September 16, 2008, in the Council Conference Room at City
Hall, 305 Century Parkway, Allen, Texas.
2. Public Recognition/Citizens Comments/ Introduction of Guests
No guests were in attendance.
3. Update by Parks and Recreation on Various and Upcoming Events
No report was available.
4. Approve minutes of August 19, 2008 meeting
MOTION: Ms. Craven moved to accept the August 19, 2008 minutes. Ms. Gonzales seconded
the motion, with all in favor
5. Receive Financial Report/ Budget Update
Mrs. Kliewer reported the KAB account balance is $17,160.17 KAB sponsorship of the
rainwater harvesting class earned money, which will be deposited after expenses are paid.

6. Receive Update on KAB Events and Proiects
• Ms. Kliewer shared the high praise from the 25 participants at the Sept. 6 Rainwater
Harvesting class.
• Miss Martin noted that over 100 Boon students were present at the PTA night on Sept. 11 to
participate in environmental activities.
• Ms. Buckley reported on the WFAA8 Project Green Summit, held Sept. 8.
• Reminders were given for upcoming events.
7. Items of Interest to the Board
• Ms. Craven shared attempts to contact A Nurtured World for a price quote on a presentation in
the spring.
• Mrs. Kliewer commented that the Ecoliteracy Consortium is planning a "greed' event at the
Watters Creek development in March.

The regular session of the Keep Allen Beautiful Board was adjourned at 7:20 p.m. on Tuesday,
September 16, 2008.
