1. Call to Order and Announce a Quorum is Present
With a quorum present, Keep Allen Beautiful Regular Meeting was called
to order by Chair Pat Buckley at 6:30pm on Tuesday, June 19, 2007 in the
Council Conference Room at City Hall, 305 Century Parkway, Allen, Texas.
2. Public Recognition/Citizens Commentslintroduction of Guests
No guests were present.
3. Approve the minutes of May 18.2007
MOTION: Carol made a motion to approve the May 18, 2007
minutes as presented. Stephenie seconded the motion with all in favor.
4. Receive Financial ReportBudget
The City KAB account's current balance is $11,333.52. The American National
Bank account's current balance is $16,544.30.
6. Update by Parks and Recreation on Various and Upcoming Events
Ms. Campbell was not available to update the board.
7. Update on KAB Events
* KTB Conference — July 10 — 13
* New Teacher Reception — August 14, 4pm
* Harvest Your Garden — Allen Senior Center, Sept 25, 11.30am
* Educator's Expo — Sept 27, 4:30 — 6:00pm
* SmartScape (WaterWise Landscaping) Seminar — Oct 18, 6:30 — 8:30pm

8. Governor's Award Proiect & Environmental Center
Discussion of KAB awards received, Keep America Beautiful awards due and
Recycling Alliance of Texas awards submitted. Discussion of the board's input
on the Master Plan for Molsen I= Environmental Learning Center. Discussion
of Stephenie's spreadsheet of the survey on environmental leaming centers and
her upcoming absence.
MOTION: Dan made a motion to take up Carol's offer to update Stepheme's
spreadsheet in her absence and create a composite to work from as well as to
divide the surveys into regions for efficiency. Wendy seconded with all in favor.
9. KAB Marketing/Branding/Wehsite
Wendy provided the board with information about the progress of the AISD high
school marketing department. The project was not completed. Wendy has
contacted Collin County Community College regarding a campaign for KAB
10. Items of Interest to the Board
Discussion of Kroger donation card to raise funding; a 2008 Eco camp
in the summer, perhaps in partnership with AISD science teacher(s); a letter to
DECA students thanking them for their efforts; the need to have a goal -setting
training for the KAB board with a facilitator to November or January, the need to
build a volunteer base, an appreciation of some kind for the Trenton honor
students who have volunteered with the Collin County Court service teens each
month.

The regular session of the Keep Allen Beautiful Board was adjourned at 8:25pm
on Tuesday, June 19, 2007
