1. Call to Order
With a quorum of the Board members present, the Keep Allen Beautiful Regular Meeting was
called to order by Chair Buckley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16, 2002, in the Council
Chambers Conference Room at City Hall, One Allen Civic Plaza, Allen, Texas
2. Introduction of Guests
No guests were present.
3. Approve the Minutes of the March 19, 2002 Regular Meeting
Due to the severity of the weather, the approval of minutes were postponed until the next
meeting
4. Items of Interest to the Board
• Financial report1budget. Funds in the KAB account are adequate to match all upcoming
bills.
• Parks and Recreation Projects Update, Susan Campbell. Ms. Campbell reported on the
Eagle Scout environmental projects for the year. She reported that the Tmmny Blacklands
Urban Forestry Council Regional Arbor Day poster contest winner was Andrea Grbavac of
Bolin Elementary.
• BBW Contest Award Recognition AAR. The consensus was that the awards presentation
went very well and the board will continue to present awards through City Council when
appropriate.
• Corporate Clean -Up Challenge. Discussion of the June 6, 2002 First Annual Corporate
Clean -Up Challenge. Discussion included groups, numbers of volunteers, food, certificates,
t -shirts and prizes.
• 2002 Great American Trash -Off. Short discussion of results

• Items of Interest. Discussion of the email and phone calls received concerning Tuan
Creeks/Glendover disagreement and the role of Keep Allen Beautiful in this area.

MOTION: Upon a motion made by Board member Mary Tittle and a second by Board member
Wendy Gardner, the Board voted five (5) for and none (0) opposed to adjourn the regular
session of the Keep Allen Beautiful Board at 7.20 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16, 2002 The
motion carred.
