A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN
COUNTY, TEXAS, APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE
ATTACHED INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT FOR REGIONAL 9-1-1 SERVICES;
AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF THE INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT FOR
REGIONAL 9-1-1 SERVICES BY THE CITY MANAGER; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, The North Central Texas Emergency Communications District (hereninafter"NCT9-1-1) is the
regional provider for 9-1-1 emergency communications; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Allen desires to be part of the regional 9-1-1 services provided by the NCT9-1-1;
and,
WHEREAS,the Interlocal Cooperation Act, Chapter 791, of the Texas Government Code,authorizes units of
local government to contract with one or more units of local government to perform governmental functions
and services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN,
TEXAS,THAT:
SECTION 1. The terms and conditions of the attached Interlocal Agreement has been reviewed by the City
Council of the City of Allen,Texas,and are hereby in all things approved.
SECTION 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the attached Interlocal Agreement for
regional 9-1-1 services, and all future Interlocal Agreements for 9-1-1 emergency communications through
the NCT9-1-1.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall become effective from and after its passage.
