Call to Order and Announce a Quorum is Present. With a quorum of the members present, the TRIAD Meeting was called to order by Mayor Terrell, President Masters and Chair Kaiser at 6:26 p.m. on Tuesday, March 29, 2016, in the Multi -Purpose Room at the Allen Senior Recreation Center located at 451 St. Mary Drive, Allen, Texas 75002. 2. Report on Allen ISD Nominations and Awards. Dr. Hindt provided an introduction to the agenda item. Mr. Carroll provided a report on recent nominations and awards received by Allen ISD. He highlighted the District's naming as a finalist in the large school district category for the 2016 HEB Excellence in Education Award. The winner will be announced on May 13. The District also was honored with the Top 100 Places To Work in DFW for 2015 by Dallas Moraine News and the 2016 Best Communities for Music Education designation from the National Association of Music Merchants Foundation. Mr. Pitcock provided an update on planned renovations at several campuses this summer and a status update on the design and construction plans for the new Science, Technology, Engineering and Math campus and Freshman campus. 4. Update from the Allen -Fairview Chamber of Commerce. Ms. Mayer provided an update on recent activities of the Allen -Fairview Chamber of Commerce and upcoming events. 5. Update on the City of Allen General Obligation Bond Program. Dr. Joe Farmer, Chair of the CIP Steering Committee, introduced the G.O. Bond program to the attendees. Ms. Siemer provided an update highlighting the projects proposed in the five bond propositions on the ballot on May 7, 2016. 6. Update on Watters Branch Community Park — Phase 1. Mr. Dealer presented an update on the proposed development plans for the Watters Community Park — Phase 1. 7. Items of Interest. [Announcements Regarding Local Civic and Charitable Events, Meetings, Fundraisers and Awards] • Next TRIAD Meeting Date - Monday, October 3, 2016 — Chamber will host. • Community Announcements Adjournment. MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Herald and a second by Councilmember Sedlacek, the Council voted seven (7) for and none (0) opposed to adjourn the TRIAD Meeting at 7:28 p.m. on Tuesday, March 29, 2016.
