Meeting called to order by Gentry T. Jones, Mayor
Aldermen Present : Zack Robinson, Ken Posey, Dan Strong,
R.B. Whisenant
Absent : B. J. Enloe
Minutes read and apnroved after corrections in meeting of May
19, 1966, corrections read as follows :
Three ayes, noes none, in the First Baptist Church requests,
also three ayes, noes none, in request that a letter be written
to Mrs. Francis Hayes.
Motion: By Mayor Jones that the above corrections be made,
Second: By Dan Strong, motion passed 4 ayes, noes 0,
Motion: By Ken Posey that the minutes of May 19, 1966 be am-
ended to read, Dan Strong, Fire Chief, reported that the fire
departments attendance was such that the payment of $100.00
be paid as per agreement.
Second: By Dan Strong, 4 ayes, noes 0.
Motion: By R. B. Whisenant to approve the change by Mayor Jones
in the appoint, of George W. Martin from City Marshall to Chief of
Police.
Second: By Dan Strong, ayes 4 noes 0.
Mayor Jones reports that Mr. Beer is to close the deal on the
129 acres of land as per contract on or before July 1, 1966.
Motion: By R. B. Whisenant that the council except the annex-
ation petition of Mr. Virgil F. Holt and Mr. Robert E. Lowmans
property to the City of Allen as described in the petition.
Second: by Zack Robinson, ayes 4, noes 0.
Motion: By R. B. Whisenant that the annexation ordinance # 60,
an ordinance annexing territory into the corporate limits of
the Town of Allen, Texas and providing for an effective date
of this ordinance to be duly signed by the Mayor & Secretary.
Second: By Ken Posey, ayes 4, noes 0.
Motion: By Zack Robinson to pay bills when we can and hold up
County Court bill until later date( check with Mr. Orr) .
Second: By Dan Strong, ayes 4 noes 0.
Mr. Walter F. Hicks, Jr. of Wisenbaker, Fix and Associates, ex-
plained to the council the projection of estimated payments to
the City of Plano for sewer disposal.
Motion: By R. B. Whisenant that we proceed with negotations
with the City of Plano based on method #3 for sewage treatment,
outlined in Wisenbaker, Fix, & Associates letter of June 2,1966,
providing that this method is considered feasible by bonding
agency.
Second: By Ben Posey, ayes 4, noes 0.
Motion: By R. B. Whisenant to notify the people of Allen that
needs mowing done that the City will charge $7.50 per hour and
if someone else will do it cheaper that will be fine.
Second: By Zack Robinson, ayes 4, noes 0.
