Min - City Council - 1966 - 12/01 - RegularREGULAR MEETING CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF ALLEN, TEXAS December 1, 1966 Present: Gentry T. Jones Aldermen: Zack Robinson, R.B. Whisenant, Dan Strong, Ken Posey, Bill Enloe Mr. Walter Hicks, Pete Ford, Marvin Gant, Don Kissinger, John Enloe, George Martin, Minutes from last meeting read and approved. Bills were presented to the council. Motion by R.B. Whisenant to pay bills. Second by Dan Strong, motion passed, ayes 5, noes 0. Pete Ford and Marvin Gant discussed the sale of the Methodist Church Educational Building with the council and offered it at $20,000.00. If the city rejected the sale it would be put in paper for sale to the public. The council indicated they were interested if money was available. Mr. Jones said we would have to wait until we have cost on sewer before the city would know our financial standing. Don Kissinger was present an dask that charges on a speeding ticket he received be reversed as there was no time for him to appear. Mr. Jones reversed the charges as George Martin, policeman, was in apperance. Mr. Hicks revised the sewer grant. The grant was excepted by the council. Motion by Ken Posey to support previous resolution and give Mayor Jones the authority to sign. Second by Dan Strong, motion passed, ayes 5, noes 0. Mr. Hicks discussed sewer line easement with the council. Motion by Bill Enloe to hire Herod & Skiles to do survey work on right- of-way for sewer line.
