AN ORDINANCE ABANDONING THE ALLEY IN BLOCK
TWENTY-EIGHT (28) TO THE OLD DONATION OF THE
CITY OF ALLIIN AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE%
DATE HEREOF.
THAT WHEREAS, the owners of the property abutting
the alley West of North Allen Drive, running through
Block 28 of the Old Donation to'the City of Allen and
bounded on the South by Lots 1 and 2 and on the North
by Lots 3, 4 and 5 of said Block 28, have petitioned
the City Council to abandon said alley, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that said
alley has never been opened for public use and is not
now needed by the citizens of the City of Allen and that
the same should be abandoned.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, TEXAS.
SECTION I. That the alley located in Block 28 of
the Old Donation from North Allen Drive north to the east
boundary of Block 3 of the Old Donation be and the same
is hereby closed and abandoned for public use forever.
SECTION II. That the Ordinance shall take effect
immediately upon its adoption and it is so ordered.
Duly passed and approved by the CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ALLEN, TEXAS, on this the 19th day of September, 1975•
