CITY OF ALLEN, TEXAS, ORDINANCE N0. 229" '
AN ORDINANCE ABANDONING A PUBLIC ROAD IN THE WM. PERRIN.
SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO. 708, IN THE CITY OF ALLEN AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF.
THAT WHEREAS, the owners of the property abutting the
public road hereinafter described have petitioned the City
Council to abandon such public road; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Allen has
determined that such public road has never been opened for
public use and is not now needed by the citizens of the City
of Allen and that the same should be abandoned.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ALLEN, TEXAS:
SECTION I: That the public road hereinafter described be
and the same is hereby closed and abandoned for public use

TRACT ONE:
SITUATED in Collin County, Texas, in the WM. PERRIN SURVEY,
ABSTRACT NO. 708, and being 1.205 acres for roadway 60 feet
wide across the Northern portion of 21.773 acres described in
Deed from Great Southwest Investment Co. to Mike McKool,
dated October 21, 1968, and recorded in Volume 719, Page 635
of the Collin County Deed Records;
BEGINNING in the East line of Central Expressway Highway
75 at a stake which is South 14 degrees 03 minutes West 154.6
feet from the Northwest corner of the said 21.773 acre tract;
THENCE SOUTH 14 degrees 03 minutes West 61.7 feet with
the East line of said Central Expressway to a stake at the
intersection of the East line of Central Expressway with the
South line of the said 60 foot wide street;
THENCE SOUTH 89 degrees 50 minutes East 882.5 feet to a
stake at the intersection of the South line of said 60 foot
wide street with the East line of the said 21.773 acre tract,
said stake also being at the Northwest corner of the Mike
McKool 17.120 acre tract;
THENCE NORTH 60 feet to a stake in the North line of
said 60 foot wide street, said stake being 150 feet South
of the Northeast corner of the said 21.773 acre tract;
THENCE NORTH 89 degrees 50 minutes West 867.5 feet with
the North line of the said 60 foot wide street to the PLACE
OF BEGINNING; and
CONTAINING 1.205 acres of land.

TRACT TWO:

SITUATED in Collin County, Texas, in the WM. PERRIN SURVEY,
ABSTRACT NO. 708, and being a 1.100 acre roadway 60 feet wide
across the Southern portion of 98.32 acres described in Deed
from Pricie Bush Allen to Edward Cullom Allen and wife, dated
June 6, 1963, and recorded in Volume 618, Page 528 of the
Collin County Deed Records;
BEGINNING in the most Westerly West line of the said 98.32
acre tract at a stake which is North 1915.4 feet from the most
Southerly corner of the said 98.32 acre tract, said stake
also being at the Northwest corner of the Mike McKool 17.120
acre tract;
THENCE NORTH 60 feet with the most Westerly West line of
the said 98.32 acre tract to a stake in the North line of the
said 60 foot wide street;
THENCE SOUTH 89 degrees 50 minutes East 803.8 feet with
the North line of the said 60 foot wide street to a stake in
the East line of the said 98.32 acre tract and in the West
line of the Interurban right-of-way;
THENCE SOUTH 22 degrees 15 minutes West 65 feet to a
stake in the East line of the said 98.32 acre tract and at
the Northeast corner of the Mike McKool 17.120 acre tract;
THENCE NORTH 89 degrees 50 minutes West 779.2 feet with
the North line of the said Mike McKool 17.120 acre tract
and with the South line of the said 60 foot street to the
PLACE OF BEGINNING; and
CONTAINING 1.100 acres of land.
SECTION II: That this Ordinance shall take effect immediately
upon its adoption and it is so ordered.

OF ALLEN, TEXAS, on this the 17t day of November ,
