AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN
COUNTY, TEXAS, DESIGNATING A POLLING PLACE TO BE USED IN CONDUCTING
THE 1982 AND ALL FUTURE MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS, ORDAINING OTHER MATTERS
INCIDENT AND RELATED THERETO; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Allen, in all previous municipal elections,
has designated the Allen City Hall, 302 W. McDermott, as the official
polling place for the casting of ballots on election days; and
WHEREAS, the Allen City Hall facilities are extremely limited
to appropriate space to conduct the election process, and the number
of voters casting ballots on election days has increased; and
WHEREAS, the City Council, after due deliberation and consideration
of the matter, is of the opinion that it is in the best interest of
the citizens and qualified voters of the City of Allen to designate
the same polling place as has been designated by the Allen Independent
School District to be used in conducting the 1982 regular municipal
election as well as all future municipal elections; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is further of the opinion that due to
the increase in population which has occurred within the City of
Allen in the recent past, together with planned and anticipated
growth in population, as well as the limited facilities at the
existing Allen City Hall, necessitates the change in the polling
place within the City of Aller.; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is further of the opinion that the
change in the polling place hereinafter established for the regular
municipal elections for 1982 as well as the future will facilitate
the qualified voters of the City of Allen in casting ballots in such
elections, and will not result in any adverse effects upon the
casting of ballots in such elections;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ALLEN, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 1. The following location is hereby designated;�as
the polling place to be used in conducting the City of Allen, 1982
regular municipal elections, as well as future elections. At the
polling place, the qualified voters of the election precincts indicated
shall cast ballots on election day.

Section II. This ordinance shall take effect from and after
its passage and publication as required by law.
Section III. English and Spanish language copies of this
ordinance shall be published in a newspaper of general circulation
within the City of Allen, and shall be submitted to the Civil Rights
Division of the Department of Justice, Washington, D.C., in compliance
with Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act of 1965, 42 U.S.C., 1973c.

TEJAS, APUNTANDO LUGAR DONDE SE VOTA PARA USO EN MANEJANDO
LAS ELECCIONS MUNICIPAL EL ANO 1982 Y TODO FUTURO ELECCIONS
DE LA MUNICIPAL; ORDENAMIENTO DE OTROS OBJETOS DE LO QUE
SE TRATA 0 DE QUE SE HABLA; Y DANDO EL DIA EN EFECTIVO.
VISTO QUE, de la ciudad de Allen en todo previo
eleccions de la municipal tercera denominar la Allen municipio,
302 oeste McDermott, asi como oficial caseta o colegio de votacion
para toda la ciudad que voten el dia de eleccions; y
VISTO QUE, la Allen municipio comodidades segunda extremo
limitado hacia asignar espacio hacia dirigir la eleccion metodo
y la numeroes de votantes votar el on dias de eleccions tercera
aumentar; y
VISTO QUE, los miembros del concilio municipal despues
de deliberar y considerar el asunto son de la opinion que es
en el mejor interes de los ciudadanos y personas que han
cumplidio con la ley para votar de la ciudad de Allen ampuntar
los mismos lugares donde se vota que han sido apuntados por el
Distrito Escolar de Allen para el use en manejar las eleccions
municipales del ano 1982 asi como futuro eleccions de la
municipal; y
VISTO QUE, los miembros del concilio municipal son ademas
de la opinion que la ganancia en poblacion que a ocurrido entre
la ciudad de Allen en el reciente pasado junto con el crecimiento
de poblacion que a sido anticipado que a exigido la cambiar_
en. elolugar _donde se vota entre _la.:ciudad de Allen'; y
VISTO QUE, los miembros del concilio municipal son ademas
de la opinion que la cambiar1.en..el lugar donde se vota mas
adelante establecidos para eleccions municipales del ano 1982
asi como futuro eleccions ira facilitar personas que han cumplido
con la ley para votar de la ciudad de Allen en votar en tal eleccions
y no resultara en effecto adversos en votando en tal eleccions; y
AHORA, POR ESTO SERA ORDENADO POR LOS MIEMBROS DEL
CONCILIO MUNICIPAL DE LA CIUDAD DE ALLEN, TEJAS, QUE:
Seccion I. Las segunte colocacion son, por este medio,
apuntado como lugar donde se vota para use en manejando las
eleccions municipal de la ciudad de Allen para el ano 1982
asi como futuro eleccions. En cada lugar donde se vota las

personas que han cumplidio con la ley para votar de cada
distrito electoral indicado votaran el dia de eleccions.
La lugar donde se vota y los distritos electorales
donde las personas que han cumplidio con la ley para votar,
votaran en tal colocaciones seran como sigue:

Seccion II. Esta ordenanza estara en efecto al pasaje
y despues de publicacion como exigido por ley.
Seccion III.
Copias de esta ordenanza sera publicadas
en ingles y en espanol en un periodico de circulacion general
dentro la ciudad de Allen, y seran presentadas a la division de
derechos civiles del departamento de justicia, Washington, D. C.
de acuerdo con seccion 5 del Acto de Derechos Para Votantes
de 1965, 42 U. S. C. 1973c.
