Call to Order and Announce a Quorum is Present
With aquorum of the Parks and Recreation Board present, Chair Johnson called
the mating to order at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, June 27,2022, in the Community
Roomcof the Municipal Court and Parks and Recreation Administration Building at
301 Ctatury Parkway, Allen, Texas.
1) Approve Minutes from April 11, 2022,Regular Meeting.
Motion: Upon a motion by Member Brewer and a second by Member Simpson, the
Parks and Recreation Board voted four(4) for and none(0)opposed to
approve the April 11, 2022,Regular Meeting minutes as presented. The
motion carried.
2) Appoint Two Representatives to the Senior Advisory Selection Committee
After brief discussion concerning the responsibilities associated with this appointment
Chair Johnson appointed Member Brewer and Member Simpson.

3) Appoint a Representative to the Stephen G. Terrell Trail Enhancement Artist
Selection Panel.
After brief discussion concerning the responsibilities associated with this appointment
Chair Johnson appointed Member Holley to serve as the Parks Board representative on
the Stephen G. Terrell Trail Enhancement Artist Selection Panel.
4) Recommend City Council Adopt the Parks,Recreation and Open Space Master
Plan 2021-2031.
After further review of the plan and discussion amongst the Board the following
motion was presented.
Motion: Upon a motion by Member Hollingsworth and a second by Member
Holley, the Parks and Recreation Board voted five (5) for and none(0)
opposed to recommend City Council adopt the Parks, Recreation and Open
Space Master Plan 2021-2031with further detail included on the Tier 1
Projects referenced in th plan. The motion carried.
5) Recommend City Council Adopt a Resolution Amending Parks and Recreation
Fees.
Teresa Thomason, Assistant Director,presented the proposed fees and after brief
discussicm including suggested additions and clarifications to the presentation to City
Council Jallowing motion was presented.
Motion: Upon a motion by Member Simpson and a second by Member
Brewer,the Parks and Recreation Board voted five (5) for and none(0)
opposed to approve the Recommend City Council Adopt the Parks, a
Resolution Amending Parks and Recreation Fees. The motion carried.
6) Update m Current Projects.
Brian Biistow,Assistant Director gave a brief update on ongoing projects including
Rolling Bills Park,the Heritage Village Barn and the Stephen G. Terrell Recreation
Center.
7) Items ofInterest.
Vice-Chair John Holley will present the Parks and Recreation Annual Board Report at
the July 112 City Council Meeting.
8) Adjourn
Motion: Upon a motion by Member Hollingworth and a second by Member Holley,
the Parks and Recreation Board voted five (5) for and none (0) opposed to
adjourn the meeting at 7:23 p.m. The motion carried.
